Hello, Tamiko here with another quick mixed media project! I made bookmarks and well, they are rather large intentionally. They measure 2.5 x 9inches and you're probably wondering whyyyyyy so big, well I read big books and I cannot lie.. (haha) A lot of the artsy books I read and my art journaling bible are quite big.. Not really novel- petite in size and well.. I lose them ::insert huge sigh here:: Well I resolved to fix that when I made these.. Let's check em out..
For the project I used:
Helmar Professional Acid Free Glue
Paper-
Base is scrapbook paper ds patterned (2.5x9in)
Top is personally made painted papers (2x8.5in)
-Watercolors, acrylic inks, paint pens, and glitter pens
Digital image from Etsy (Sloth by )
Reading Quotes on printed paper
Scissors
Paper trimmer
Tweezers (optional)
After I colored/painted paper and digital images I did an awful lot fussy cutting, paper piecing and layering using my scissors and Helmar Professional Acid Free glue. This glue is super fluid and it might be easier to place some in a shallow small container and apply with a brush. I almost got out sequins and glitter...woohooo maybe next time.. Here are some close ups.
