Hi everyone, Its Bridget back again. Today I am going to share another great craft you can do with your children, and that is melted crayon art. This is a craft we have been meaning to try for a long time, and now we have done one we are ready to try another. Here is our first creation. A flower garden.
What you need:
Crayons
canvas
paper flowers
sequins
Helmar's Craft Glue
heat gun
First thing to do is to sort out the order you want your crayons on the canvas. Then glue them on using Helmars Premium Craft Glue. This is a great glue to use for this craft as I find the heat gun melts the crayons but doesn't melt the glue, so the crayons stay where they are meant to. As you can see I just did 2-3 lines across the canvas the stuck the crayons on. No need to individually glue each crayon.
Let dry.
Now for the fun part. Time to melt these crayons! Be sure to protect your surface with newspaper because the melted crayon can make a mess. If it does get on a surface, just used your heat gun to melt it then wipe it up with a paper towel.
Once your happy with the crayon drips, let dry. Then using Helmars premium craft glue, glue on some flowers and sequins to create a flower garden.
Once again here is our finished creation.
We had alot of fun watching the crayons melt and this is on our school holiday craft project list.
Until next time, happy crafting.
