Jean here and today I have a fun project for you that is a great one to do with kids! All you need is cardboard, Helmar 450, inks or paint and cards or cardstock!
Grab that piece of cardboard and sketch a design. I chose a leaf motif and a flower.
Now trace over that using the 450. Try to use a steady hand while tracing, but if there is a missed spot you can always go back over it. I actually had to go over the flower twice.
Once the glue has dried you are now ready to have fun and play with your paints and inks. I applied a liberal layer of Distress Oxides over the images and spritzed with a little water. Take your cardstock and holding it against the design rub the back with your fingers. Peel back and you will have wonderful prints! It does take some experimenting to get the right amount of paint/ink and pressure but I love how each one is different.
I then used watercolor paints to finish the images and using Helmar 450 I added colored cardstock or just glued the print to a card base. Some I added doodling with a black pen.
Don't you love how these came out? You can make large prints or small ones, turn them into cards or paintings. The sky is the limit!
I hope this has inspired you to grab some glue and paints/inks and play. Thank you for joining me today! Don't forget to click on the link in the top right to get your Helmar supplies. Be sure to share your projects with us on Facebook .
