Hello! It’s Robyn Wood with you today sharing a cute little card featuring Helmar adhesive. This card is quite small, only 10cm square, so they are easy to create a bundle to give as a gift or to use when needed.
The card was started with a tent folded card base measuring 10cm x 20cm. You might realise that you will be able to get four of these bases from a standard 12” x 12” square of cardstock which makes them very economical.
Start by creating an image to go on the front, I’ve used the sweet poppy flower and mini Mason jar stamps from Darkroom Door. I’ve given them some colour using Ecoline dye based markers.
Once the pieces were fussy cut, I’ve layered the flower over the Mason jar and tied a little piece of ribbon around the neck of the jar.
The rest of the elements of the card were then assembled - a torn layer for some contrast, a paper doyley & a bit of cheesecloth as well as a stamped quote. I attached each of the pieces with a small amount of Helmar Tacky Craft Glue so that the edges of the doyley, Mason jar & flower lifted a little. This adds an extra bit of dimension to the card.
I wanted to add a tiny wooden peg to the quote so needed an extra bit of lift under it to accommodate the peg. Helmar Scrap Dots did the job perfectly – I just used a larger blob of adhesive than I usually do.
Supplies:
Helmar Scrap Dots
Helmar Tacky Craft Glue
Stamps – Darkroom Door Mini Mason Jar, Poppies set, Botanical Script set
Markers – Ecoline but any dye based marker will be perfect
I hope my card inspires you to create something, I’d love to see what you make. Until next time…
