Morning everyone and welcome to today's post, a most gorgeous material covered vase I have created to hold all those flowers I will get for Mother's Day. LOL !!
Old empty coffee jar, material off cut approx 8" x 12", assorted flowers, some beaded fringe , 2 small doilies, piece of crochet trim, small diamonties or pearls.
The glues I have used are:
First thing to do is remove the label off the jar. For this I used the H3000 remove cleaner it removed every trace of that sticky residue and has a pleasant citrus smell.
Next step is to trim the material to fit the jar allowing a 1/4" extra for the hems. No sewing machine required I used the fabric glue to secure the rolled edges as hems.
Then we move on to adding the material to the jar.i have started at the top lip of the jar securing with peg clips and tucking in small pleats when required to allow a square piece of fabric fit a round jar.
Next step adding the embellishments, first add the doilies 1 on the side for the flower arrangements this covers the side seam and the other 1 is on the bottom of the jar to again hide the seams. Then add a ring of crochet trim around the top of the jar.
I then move onto the beaded fringe trim around the neck of the jar and add a few diamonties around the flower arrangement using the Gemstone glue
Let all this dry securely overnight and then your vase is completed.
