Hello again, this month I will be decorating my little booklet that I made in last month's blog post HERE
What you will need:
Helmar Craft & Hobby PVA Glue, scissors and a variety of papers of your choice.
I also used a flower and circle punch, glitter glue and distress ink. You can also use scraps of laces, sewn paper bits etc, whatever you like.
First up I am covering the envelopes in my booklet as they are very plain. Decide on the papers you would like to use. I have smaller paper pads which are one sided so I chose a selection that would compliment each other.
(If you have larger papers, you could just make the envelopes out of the papers in the first place if you like)
Trim the papers to a size that will fit your envelopes, slide the paper inside the envelops and mark the shape of the opening on either side of the paper, cut along this line.
Do this for each envelope front and back and then adhere the pieces on with Helmar Craft & Hobby PVA Glue.
You may find it easier to glue the entire sheet of paper to the back of the envelope and then once dry, trim the paper down to size.
I mixed and matched my papers for each envelope and used old book papers to line the inside of the envelopes in the same manner.
I then used my scraps to punch out some circles to make some closure tabs.
Using Helmar Craft & Hobby PVA glue, I made them a double thickness.
I then inked around the edges of all the envelopes, inside and out.
I then added some little bits of stitched papers to any spots I thought needed them (where I cut my papers crooked ;) )
I also added a couple of tuck spots on the backs of the envelopes to fill at a later date.
and a simple embellishment of stitched paper, punched flowers and glitter glue to the front.
I hope you have enjoyed seeing this little booklet being decorated. Helmar Craft & Hobby PVA Glue is perfect for paper on paper gluing on a project such at this.
Take care everyone and thank you for stopping by the blog today :)
