Steam punk pot

Like a bit of rust, grunge, steam punk ?

What about this pot ?

This is a plain white pot painted in white gesso.

Once dry, I have mixed up a slurry of Tacky Craft glue and water 

and used this to apply my rice paper to the pot. 

Allow this to dry thoroughly. 

The next step was to create some grunge using some assorted texture pastes. 

Again, allow this to dry and we move on to adding some rust colours. 

Once coloured and thoroughly dry, I have chosen some metal embellishments,

attached these randomly around the sides of the pot 

and highlighted the whole pot with some gold wax.
