I am back today with another upcycled pot!
This pot is an op shopped white pot with an old Doily and lots of bright colours added!
First, we need to paint the pot in a white gesso to give it a good surface to work on
or
you could lightly sand the surface.
Once dry, I have used the amazing fabric stiffener and draping fluid to attach the recycled doily
to use this fluid you need to thoroughly saturate your material you are using with the fluid then squeeze the excess out before moulding over the project you are working on.
Allow this to dry for a good 24 hours or more.
Once dry it can be removed and used on its own as a stiffened doily but I have chosen to reattach to my pot and use as a cover for my pot.
I have decided to make this pot a nice really bright creation
using some Lindy Magicals mixed with some water to paint the doily covered pot.
Once my pot was painted I allowed this to dry then added a couple of brightly coloured flowers to highlight the colours of the pot.
To protect my pot for future use with a potted plant I have taken this pot outside and given it a good, solid coverage sprayed with Crystal Kote Gloss.
