Hot Air Balloon Memory Dex

Hi lovely people, today I am sharing with you a new memory dex card I made. I used my Cricut Explore 2 machine to design and cut a hot air balloon memory dex card. After the pieces were cut out I used my sewing machine to add some stitching to the middle layering pieces.

I used the Helmar Craft and Hobby PVA glue to add the layering pieces onto my memory dex card.

I then used the Helmar Craft and Hobby PVA glue to add some pompom trim to the top of the memory dex card. I did need to hold the trim down for about 1 minute to ensure the bond was strong. 

Finally I used the Helmar Tacky Craft Glue to add my embellishments to the memory dex card. I love how this memory dex card turned out.

Helllooooo Everyone....

Today I have a little project using some bits and bobs

I found floating around in the studio.

To start I have glued on 4 metal corners with

450 Quick Dry Adhesive.

Then I have used some Super Tac Glue to

adhere the other pieces.

These are definitely my 2 favourite go to adhesives

for this type of project.

Now give everything a coat of Black gesso.

Then I have added some Lindy's Squirts on part of the

background and around the front of the frame.

Then I have finished it off with various waxes and gold foil paint,

and a quick spray of Crystal Kote to protect it.

A Cute Round Birdhouse

Hello everyone,

Leanne here with you today.
I love birdhouses.
So with a few items I have transformed this paper Mache bauble
into a faux little birdhouse to hang in my craft room.

So let's create:

The sweet image that features as a doorway is from a decorative sheet of rice paper.

First, I went around the image using a damp brush.
This allowed me to carefully tear around the image giving a soft edge as shown.

To glue the image onto the bauble I have used Tacky Craft Glue.

Now comes the fun part of gluing on all of the flowers.
To glue the flowers in place I used 450 Quick Dry Adhesive.

Next I framed the image with a faux vine that I twisted into a circle shape
before gluing it in place using 450 Quick Dry Adhesive.

To finish I glued on some velvet leaves, gold beaded berries and 3 small flowers.

A simple and quick little project to make.

Denim bottle planter

Let’s take an empty wine bottle, some torn up old denim pants and create this beautiful altered planter! 

Let’s start with this an empty wine bottle clean thoroughly.

Apply a coat of clear gesso to create a solid base to attach the material to. 

While this is drying, tear up your denim into strips. 

We will use Helmar Fabric Glue to attach our torn denim strips to the bottle starting from the bottom working our way up to the top overlapping each ring a little bit. 

Allow the glued layers to dry then take the bottle outside and spray with Crystal Kote Matte Varnish.

Next, I add some embellishments using the Fabric glue and some rubber bands to keep them in place while they dry.

Add a recycled zipper made into a flower!

And...some bead trim off an old scarf edge! 

Now that is a beautiful bottle waiting for a pretty plant!
