A Fairy Light

Hello everyone, Leanne here with you today.

I have created a fairy light using a recycled glass jar,
tissue paper, fine glitter, embellishments, glue and a fairy.

So let's create:

Start with a clean jar,
making sure it is free of any sticky label residue and finger prints.

Then die cut or download a fairy image,
coat the image with Tacky Craft Glue and glue the image to the inside of the glass jar.

Next pour a puddle of Craft & Hobby PVA Glue onto a pallet.
Optional: I tinted my glue with a drop of distress ink as I wanted a vintage look to my finished project.

Using a foam brush apply the glue all over the outer surface of the jar.

Next carefully place a layer of tissue paper over the glue surface.
Sprinkle on some fine glitter to the tacky surface and set the jar aside, allowing it to completely dry overnight.

Chose some decorative cord and adhere to the neck of the jar
using 450 Quick Dry Adhesive.

Next, carefully drill a hole in the centre of the lid, as shown.
The hole needs to be big enough to poke the plastic flame of the tea light candle through.

Use Tacky Craft Glue to glue on some greenery.

Then glue embellishments using 450 Quick Dry Adhesive to the lid.

"Imagine" Mixed Media Canvas

Helloooooo Everyone......

Amanda here with another of my creations

using the fabulous Helmar Adhesive Products.

Step 1

This project is done on a 6 x 6 deep side Canvas, so I have done some stencilling,

then using some super-tac glue I have adhered some cheesecloth and chipboard peices.

Step 2

Give everything a good coat of Black Gesso.

Step 3

Use some shimmer spray of your choice....

I have used some LSG Starburst Spray (Tibetan Poppy Teal)

Step 4

I was experimenting with making my own Glitter Flake Paste with Gloss Gel,

make sure you do the sides as well...

Then I have used Tiger Grip for my Metal Corners

Step 5

I have taken some of the Gemstone Glue and put in a prescision point bottle

so I can get more accurate glueing in certain places

Step 6

Using the Prescision Point Glue I have now added some Micro Beads and Glass Glitter,

I have also added some Rhinestome Crystals to the corners and the butterfly.

Step 7

Using the 450 Quick dry adhesive I have added the Butterfly (coloured with Waxes) and the

Chipboard Word ( I used some embossing powder)to make it pop.

Bunny Shaker - Jaymi

Hi everyone, today I am making a shaker embellishments. With Easter coming up I have been inspired to make some Easter and spring themed projects. I started by using my circuit to cut my bunny shaker SVG out using some glitter paper, acetate and patterned paper. 

I used the craft and hobby PVA glue to attach the glitter cardstock to the acetate paper. 

I then added a sequins mix to the acetate and glued on the backing piece. I didn’t use foam today to make the shaker and I love how it turned out.

I then used the hobby and craft PVA glue to embellish the shaker. I added some trim for texture and a bead dangle on the side for a fun interactive detail. I hope you enjoyed my project.

Dreams from Faraway Places

Hello everyone

Lets all Dream of Faraway places and Daring Adventures

To create this inspirational project I have started with a blank canvas and a whole selection of things  that suit my vision

 First step I painted and sprayed the board to get my desired colour 

Using an assortment of sprays, paints and waxes 

Next I painted and waxed a pair of resin wings to use for my project. 

It is now time to assemble my pieces using my all time favourite products! 

Helmar 450 Quick Drying Adhesive 

I have also sprayed some gauze to add to the board under the wings and behind the cardboard lady. 

Completed the project with lots of bits and pieces as embellishments some flowers  and micro beads then a chipboard quote.

Finished off by making a hanging cord from some leftover gauze through some punched out holes. 

Bunk Beds for dolls

Hello Helmar Fans, Raelene with you today.  It has been a while and I am so excited to share with you my project I created with my granddaughter.
Miss E loves Barbies and loves playing with them in her dolls house but she felt they needed beds so I grabbed out a shoebox and some supplies and we set to work making Bunk Beds for Barbie sized dolls.  I made some mistakes along the way and I will share them so you can learn from my mistakes with me.  :)

Supplies needed -

Shoebox
Fabric scraps big enough to cover your matresses which will be the measurement of the long side of you shoebox.  I used some old pyjamas that had a tear in them.
Scrap cardboard from a box to fill any gaps in the inside of the box.
Wrapping paper
Your preferred Helmar Glues, I used Helmar Kids School Glue for parts Miss E would be helping with and Helmar Premium Craft Glue for parts that needed a stronger hold.  Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive would be great for this project.

I started by cutting my cardboard for my matresses, ladder and to fill in the internal walls.
For my ladder I cut our a ladder shape plus extra "rungs" to give them thickness.  We glued the rungs in place and then once the glue was dry Miss E painted it white.

Miss E then glued the pieces for the mattresses together using Helmar Kids School Glue.  Unfortunately I cut both mattresses the same size when the one for the top needed to be the outside measurement.  I hid this mistake when finished by draping a little blanket over the end.

Next we added the sheets to the mattresses using Helmar Premium Craft Glue.  Unfortunately my using pinking sheers to reduce risk of fraying affected the neatness of my corners, I had to spend some time poking little triangular bits in, I recommend using standard fabric scissors instead.

 

The shoe box interior walls weren't all flat so we added bits of cardboard that was the same thickness as the shoebox to create smooth walls.

 

Now it was time to make everything pretty.
I used Helmar Kids School Glue to adhere wrapping paper to the internal and external "walls" and some white cardstock for the ceiling inside the bunks.
I adhered the "mattresses" in place with Helmar Premium Craft Glue.
I used Helmar Premium Craft Glue to adhere ribbon and trim to the outer and internal edges to hide mistakes.

Miss E is really happy with her Bunk Beds.
