Christmas In July

Hello everyone,
Leanne here with you today.
I have created a Snow lady / now decorative button jar.

A recycled plastic jar was used as the base for my project.
The base has been painted with chalk paint,
and fine glitter was sprinkled over the wet paint.
Allow to dry.
When dry, spray with Crystal Kote Matte Varnish as shown.
The varnish helps to seal and protect the glittery surface.

Next glue two styrene balls together using Tiger Grip Glue.
Then mix equal parts of gesso and Craft & Hobby PVA Glue together.

Then use a brush, brush this mix over the styrene balls as shown. 

While this surface is still wet sprinkle on some faux snow.

Allow to completely dry overnight.

Next create a paper rosette, as shown.

Then glue this to the lid using 450 Quick dry Adhesive.

Then glue the snow lady to the paper rosette using
Tiger Grip Glue.

Now decorate the snow lady and jar.
I have used a doily, trims, beads and a clay nose.
All items were glued into place using
450 Quick Dry Adhesive.

Next the hat was created with layers of
cardboard, tissue paper and cheese cloth,
glued together using 
Craft & Hobby PVA Glue.

Helmar glues are so easy and versatile to use,
making this a super fun project to create.

Drift with the Sea

Using a nice driftwood hanging heart string and the new Mintay “Seaside Escape” die cut collection I have created this mixed media hanger... 

So follow along in this post and I will show you how to take this collection of bits and pieces and turn it into the above beautiful creation! 

For this project I have used the 

Tarzan Grip Adhesive 

Gotta love die cut pieces no fussy cutting !

I have placed my Mintay Seaside Escape die cut pieces on my hanger at different intervals mounting some on 3 D foam 

I have then used the Tarzan Grip Adhesive to glue shells randomly on the hanger and then I have left it to dry thoroughly overnight as our weather here is wet and muggy 

Next step was to add some sand effects to the hanger. 

I have mixed sand with the Tarzan Grip Glue 

And then spread it onto the shells and drift wood pieces 

I have then added highlights with some waxes and then dry brushed white Gesso over the top.

And that is the hanger finished!


 

Fast and Simple Scrapbook Layout - Jaymi

Hello lovely people, 

Jaymi here today sharing another scrapbooking layout. I always start with a white piece of cardstock. I then used the remain scrap paper from my previous layout. You can achieve this result but tearing a patterned paper pieces towards yourself. I used the Helmar Craft and Hobby Glue to stick the patterned paper to the cardstock. I then used some butterfly embellishments from my stash and trickled them down the page. I used the Helmar Craft and Hobby glue to stick them to the page again. 

I added a simple title and some enamel dots around the page to finish it off. This was a very quick layout and it so easy to scraplift.

Sunshine on my mind layout - Jaymi

Hi everyone, today I am sharing with you a traditional 12x12 layout using the Helmar Tacky Craft Glue.

 

I started by choosing two complimenting patterned papers. I ripped the paper towards myself so I get a white edge. 

 

 

Then I used the Helmar Tacky Craft Glue to stick down the patterned paper to the top of my white cardstock and glued my picture down.

 

 

I finished the layout with some embellishments and glue them down using the Helmar Tacky Craft Glue. I tip for gluing down vellum pieces. Put glue on a section that you are going to cover with another embellishments or picture. I hope you enjoy this

layout.
