Hello everyone, Leanne here with you today.
I have made a paper ballet slipper that you
can create for a special little one
or someone young at heart to hang on a door handle.
You will need:
Plain or patterned paper
Cardboard: thick and thin
Lace, ribbon and trims
Paper flowers
Embellishments
Glues: I have used the following
Helmar Super Tacky Glue
Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive
A ballet slipper pattern can be found on the internet.
Next trace the sole pattern onto the thick & thin cardboard.
Then trace all of the pattern pieces onto patterned paper.
Then cut out each shape.
Next using the 450 Quick Dry Adhesive, glue the seam together as shown.
This piece is the top part of the slipper.
Then add 450 Quick Dry Adhesive glue to the toe area on the thick cardboard
and glue the toe patterned paper piece to the cardboard toe area as shown.
Then glue down the heel area next,
before working your way around the whole shoe.
Next add Super Tacky glue to the sole as shown.
Then adhere the thin cardboard sole piece.
Allow to dry.
Then it is time to decorate with lace, trims and embellishments.
The glues chosen for this project bond and hold really well,
making it easy to adhere all elements precisely and with ease.
So until next time,
Have fun crafting.
