With Christmas fast approaching I thought I would share with you some fast and super cute ways to spread your love with family and friends this holiday season. It's always nice to receive a gift, but it's always nicer to receive a gift that has been beautifully packaged, and I think these are perfect for that! Easy to make and easy to personalize with your own unique style, minimum supplies needed, and no special tools required (scoring board helps if you have one), give it a go and enjoy the smile on the recipients faces.

What you will need: Cardstock, ribbon, embellishments, and of course some wonderful glues from Helmar.

Helmar Products I used for these projects -

 

Making the Bonbon - 

You will need scissors, a scoring tool, a piece of 10" x 6 1/2" cardstock (please refer to photos for scoring measurements), embellishments, Helmar Craft & Hobby PVA and Helmar 450 glue. I have used a cutting die to fancy up the ends, this is just a personal choice, looks super with plain ends too :)

Making the Gift Card Box - 

You will need scissors, a scoring tool, a piece of 6" x 6" cardstock (please refer to photos for scoring measurements), embellishments, and Helmar Craft & Hobby PVA.

Christmas Bottle

Hi everyone,

Well it’s nearly that time of year when we celebrate with tinsel, glitter and the good old red, green and gold of Christmas! 

But I have mixed it up using Gold, Blue and Brown colours.

I have created this cute light up bottle from a recycled wine bottle and a string of little lights attached to a cork stop.

I have used the good old H3000 cleaner to remove the label off my bottle. 

I have given the bottle a light coat of white gesso.

Then I started colouring it using alcohol inks allowing them to drip and run down the sides of the bottle. 

Next step was to attach my napkin designs I have chosen Xmas trees and a border trim...

which I have stuck on the bottles using the Acid Free Glue that I have watered down. 

Once attached, I allowed these to dry before adding more alcohol ink runs to blend it all together.

Once all completely dry, I have outlined the Xmas trees using Liquid pearls in matching colours.

I have finished off my bottle by adding some glittery poinsettias to the cork top with a few holly berries attached with my all time favourite 450 Quick Dry Adhesive. 

Now my bottle is finished and ready for the centre of the Christmas table. 

Window Canvas by Amanda M

Hellloooooo Creative Lovelies.

Today I have for you a canvas with a view.

Products Used

First off I have done some stenciling to set my scene.

Next give the chipboard & resin pieces a coat of white gesso.

I have used some metallic paint for the top of the window and some blue distress paint for the window,

then using a crackle stamp and stamp pad I have done some random stamping to age the window.

 

I painted the leaves with different coloured green metallic paints.

Cut lots of leaves with a die cutting machine and colour with the same green metallic paints as the chipboards.

Now to make the windowbox for the flowers.

1st I have used a nurofen box, but anything similar will do, use some masking tape

along the bottom and around the sides, then cut down to the top of the tape.

measure enough tape to fit the front and sides and stick to a flat surface, I have then stencilled

a cobblestone pattern and let dry. Then using some super- tac glue adhere to the box.

Colour the finished window-box with a dark gray colour and then using

some 450 Quick dry Glue add some artificial moss.

Again using the 450 Quick-Dry Glue add your flowers how you like.

I have now added some colour to the background with some yellow, green and Brown,

I have used a mixture of different sprays.

Now start adding your chipboard pieces to the scene using Super-Tac Glue

I have used the 450 Quick-Dry to add the window-box

And finaly glue all the die-cut vines and resin pieces on with some Tiger Grip so nothing is going anywhere.
